Wake Surf Boat meets Pontoon Boat

When the kids were younger (less than 20), I had a Mastercraft Wake Boat. I put 5 times as many hours on my Pontoon boat than I did the Mastercraft.

A new player came to the market and is going after both Pontooners and Surfers. Looks pretty cool but is a bit pricey.

I like some of the concepts - but that boat is about as ugly as I have ever seen.

I would like to see a top manufacturer tackle some of the ideas.

I am 55 and do it often. It is fun and not real hard on you. You are only going about 10 mph. Wakeboarding on the other hand is much harder on me. I think I am done with that.

Used to surf in VA and NC...not real good but!! having sex wax stickers and boards ontop of a 79 blazer (no top 6 point smitty cage) with 15" of lift and 44s was a nookiemobile back in the late 80's

Cool bansil! I still surf (not real good either) a long board in Cocoa Beach. I am usually the oldest surfer on the beach. But my 9.5 bilt surfboard handles it fine. Wakesurfing is easier since you don't have to paddle and get up quickly. Plus the wave does not end until you fall off. I can't do many tricks but I can get back on the boat without stopping the boat. I have not managed to do a 360 and keep surfing yet. I hope this year to get that down. I have done 360s but fall out of the wake.

It used to be the cruisers were the ones tearing up the docks, not it is the wake board boats that think they need back in the big coves to wake board.
Wake board boats are beating the crap out our dock, I do not know why they just don't stay on the main channel.

I would get with neighbors and try to get the corp or whoever to put no-wake buoys out

When I'm cruising in the main channel of my lake and the wake boats are creating their big wakes, I always say "why don't these just go into the coves and stay out of the main lake!" I guess it all depends on your perspective. :biggrin2

Looks great for wake surfing and a "pay back boat." When other boats see a pontoon boat and come too close, even with fishing rods hanging over the side. Just crank up that wake boat and return the rudeness...

The wake surf boats are tearing the crap out of our dock/pier as well. With that being said, the "courtesy plow" inside the no wake zone does the same amount of damage. Some people think "no wake" means go slow. A 5mph boat is throwing up a big wake as well.

I have a 2019 Barletta L25UC with a 300 mercury. You can easily surf behing it, just by getting the trim and speed set right on it.

If a person has been boating for more than a day, they will have a good idea of their wake characteristics. And, as it has already been said: You are responsible for the wake that you throw. Pretty basic common sense, but.........
