Well I finally found a motor, picking it up in the morning. It's 2003 Mercury 115HP 4 stroke EFI engine 20” shaft.
Stainless steel 14/14 prop and new impeller.
I have a 2006 mercury 9.9 4 stroke, the dealer that is storing it for the owner was telling me that the wiring harness will fit but the cables on some 9.9s were opposite of some of the bigger motors, meaning forward would be reverse and reverse would be forward and I might have to switch the control box. Just thought I would ask if anybody knew this to be true or if there might be anything else I would have to switch. Thanks for any help.

Re: Forward and reverse
Even if the is opposite, not a big deal. Just switch the cable to the opposite location. There is no difference between the forward and reverse cable. Glad to hear you were able to find a new motor. You'll be happy to have the extra h.p. with the 115! Good luck with the new motor, let us know how it goes.
