Purchased 2019 Starcraft EX18 and have a Torqueedo 2.0 electric motor on the transom. However prop reaches water line when just two people on board. Is a jack plate to lower the motor the best way to go and if so any particular jack plate or other suggestions.

I'm not familiar with the torqueedo mounting. They do have some impressive products though! Do you have any adjustment in the mount, or is it already as low as it can be set? A manual jack plate would be an inexpensive fix ,but if its a brand new boat call your dealership. It's clearly not rigged properly. Your prop should be in the water with more than 2 people on an 18' boat!

Throw some big AGM batteries on the stern! Did you buy the long or short shaft version?

I am confused, prop should be in water with no one on it :donno

2people should not be too much wt to make back of boat come out of the water...unless....they are cheeto and hot pocket eating champions that escaped moms basement standing on very front of pontoons

Whoops, I took it mean that the prop was high out of the water unless there were more than two people aboard, sinking the stern lower. Sometimes my reading comprehension lags behind :lol3

I looked them up and it does say available in long or short shaft. Wondering if you got the wrong one???
If that is not the issue, maybe they are just designed for boats with very low transoms.
