This forum has a wealth of knowledge

#1 Post by onlybillhere » Tue Jun 25, 2019 10:48 am

So I'm new to the pontoon world, just buying my first new-to-me pontoon and I must say that this site has so much in the way of advice, troubleshooting tips, and just general information that would make any newbie feel good about boating. I'm on page 37 just going through old posts but finding nuggets of wisdom that actually help me with my issues. Just wanted to say thank you to all who contribute and I hope to be a contributing member myself.

Well, Bill - I very much agree with you, but remember that you have also contributed to the knowledge pool here! That is what makes this place work.

I hope to get to that point where I can contribute...seems like I have more questions than answers but hopefully in time it will be the other way.

My point was that interaction is two way: Good questions trigger responses which result in contribution and the cycle continues.

Bill, glad your enjoying the forum and you're right, there is a wealth of information on these boards. I was brand new to boating in general and specifically Pontoon boats when I went and bought my pontoon about 9 years ago. The first year I had it I was so frustrated that I was ready to sell the boat at a loss. I just didn't know what I was doing... Then I found this forum and told everyone what my issues were. I got tons of advice from members here and thanks to all of them I was able to learn and work thru some of my "learning" issues with boating. I've always been very appreciative of the guys and gals on this forum.. Great group of people.

I have to agree with Marc and ROLAND - the 2 way conversations have asked and answered many of my own questions. I was also new to toon owning. The advice / information / opinions here have helped me tons... and saved me lots of $$. :bowdown :bowdown
