Guess we will stay at home as our lake is still 30 ft above. All boat ramps are closed, and unless your boat is in a marina your screwed. We can't even take our RV as campgrounds are also closed. We haven't been able to boat for near 3 months

Well, I happen to be a fireworks guru....we typically do 4 or 5 town shows over the weekend. This year I unfortunately have to work so I am taking the wife and friends out tomorrow (3rd) for her birthday.

Cant wait. Water was 83 degrees 2 days ago and was ridiculously refreshing.

well I never take the boat out on the 4th. Too many drunks on the water and makes me nervous... I live in a small country community and for the past several years they throw a little 4th of july bash. It's on a golf course, they'll have a live contry band performing for 2 hours or so and then they put on a pretty impressive little fireworks show.. People just bring their lawn chairs and sit out on the fairway and take it in... all free. My wife and I went up there last year, guess we'll probably do it again, weather permitting.

The family and I are gonna be leaving this afternoon and heading to Lake Shelbyville (IL.) with several friends. We are gonna be camping till Sunday and we will be on the lake tomorrow night watching the fireworks. We did last year and had a complete blast. Hoping to get on the lake this evening if we get down there early enough. Last month was so wet and busy for us, we couldn’t get the boat out. Motor is broken in and ready to run. You guys have fun and stay safe out there this holiday.

After much consideration, I have a decided on a spot to spend this July 4th weekend. Things can change of course, but this is what I am thinking at the moment. :lol3

Great weekend, still underway!

Spent every day out on the lake tubing, watching big fireworks displays, great airshow with WWII planes, a fun new restaurant/bar with a dock!
Headed back out now to grab a pizza to wind down the weekend.

Hope everyone had a safe weekend!
