i spent two days just trying to get the carrier bearing out the lower. did pretty much everything I knew to do to get that thing to release, including heat. one of the impeller bolts screw holes has been broken (before me) and to repair that will not be very fun. In the end I think the smartest decision was to start with a new lower and just move on. It's a boat, I know I will be throwing money at this thing till I get rid of it...but that's part of the fun...right?bansil wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2019 3:59 amDo you have this?
Non bigfoot lower starts 6A-1 (it is for the 4 stroke, lower parts should be the same)

I would personally take the old one apart, being it is 25 years old, most service people don't have a clue about 2 strokes anyways and if you got upper running good, why not try your hand at the lower?
Good luck
