Grab a chair, friends, some drinks and head to a local ramp to watch the fun

Being retired we leave the holidays to the fools & drunks. When we lived on the lake we enjoyed sitting on our deck and watching the tourist pass by all clean, white, and feeling good on, Friday and watch them leave on Sunday or Monday, dirty, sunburned and hungover. Then we loaded up and hit the quiet lake.

When we boated in AZ we typically went on weekends since we both worked but never on holiday weekends. Boat traffic was crazy and dangerous. We kept an RV and the boat at the lake, Roosevelt, and used it year round. Missing the holidays was no big deal and a LOT safer. Occasionally staying over on a Monday was great. No other boats, glassy water and quiet. Hate jet boats.
