I thinks list and sale prices are set by dealer. Not
Manufacturers SRP.

List should be MSRP. Sales price is up to the dealer. Knowing both and comparing to what others are paying elsewhere in comparison lets you know where you might stand with wiggle room. Kinda like that car website that shows what people are paying for a certain car around you so you have an idea of if you can get a better deal. Several sites like Godfrey and Harris have a pontoon builder and you should get the same price there as the dealer list. The Harris builder for instance shows a 2019 Solstice 240 with Merc 225 with no options selected at $72,460 and says not including freight, prep, etc. I watched my local dealer build a boat and the numbers came straight from Godfrey's order system, then he said "Just ignore that number it spits out" and figured out his OTD price and wrote it on the print out.

If the Harris list is not including trailer and you pay 6.25% in Illinois then you can figure they're doing a pretty good discount. Trailer would be $3500 so that takes it up to $79k, freight/prep/etc another $1500 or so and you're at say $81k. $59k minus the tax is $55.5k so that's a little over 30% off list.

Lilguy: which dealer are you looking at by chance? Is it Munson Marine in Fox Lake? They are on the corner and basically share a lot with the gas station?

Yes, is that who you bought from? If so how has the relationship gone over time.

Yes. That is where I got my boat from. So far I have no complaints. I will be calling them here in a week or so to have the engine winterized and the routine stuff done. They gave me 2 extra years on the engine warranty and mentioned that I should bring it in after the season and after the break in period was over. I also got a marine master trailer with my boat and that is a good trailer so far too.

I noticed in one of your earlier posts you ask about the $60k +/- mark for the boat, trailer 250hp OTD. That is pretty much exactly where I was quoted as well for a 250. I wanted to get the 250, but my wallet said no. Plus I didn’t want to wait for the engine to come in (I wanted the new 250 V8 and it was on back order at the time). It may still be at this time too

Glad we met here. They are pushing Phoenix trailers now.
Did you get four wheel disc brakes on your rig?

I’m pretty sure I just got 1 axle brakes? But I’m honestly not sure. I will have to look when I get home this evening. I do know my trailer has greaseless bearings and they are what the dealer called “self oiling” bearings.

Getting down to the nitty gritty. Trying to figure a price.
Is a Merc 250 over 10 grand more than a 150? Boat buying is not car buying. It’s hard to pin down MSRP with some dealers and systems.
