Re: 188 mil vs 80 mil Vinyl Flooring
I definitely don't want to do it twice, so waiting is the game then. Problem is, around here lows in the 50's may not happen until March, but it is what it is. I will post updates as I go, but it may be a lot longer than I hoped. Appreciate the advice!

Unless.... unless I tent around the boat and run a propane heater for a couple days, to get the temp up for the duration of the cure. Thoughts?

Would work for sure if you did that.

That's the plan then. I've wanted a propane heater for a while and now there's an excuse to own one. I imagine a relatively small area will heat pretty well. Hopefully not too well...

Make sure the temps are warm enough. When I did my vinyl floor from Pontoonstuff, the temperature was barely in the range recommended. I remember sweating it out trying to get the edges to stay folded over the plywood decking. Ended up using a ton of masking tape to hold it down at the suggestion of fellow forum member Toonguy.
And rent a vinyl/carpet roller. About $15 from a rental store and worth every penny.
I wrote up some tips after replacing my carpet with vinyl. Some may help you.

Sorry the pics are no longer available. (Thanks Photobucket). I can see blurry versions of the original pics on my computer. Maybe you can too.

Your thread is one I read while looking into this. I see the pictures but yes they are the fuzzy style ones (thanks PB).
I am going to do a dry run of the propane heater for a couple hours in the tented area to see what sorts of temps it holds before I actually lay the adhesive and vinyl. If it is below 65, I'm not going to proceed until mother nature is my heater. Thank you for the advice.

Just be mindful of the humidity that a propane heater will produce. It will slow the dry time just like the temperature. Also pay attention to the CO level of you're spending any amount of time in there. Good luck, hope you can get it done!
