Boat recommendation

I live in area where the 2 nearest lakes to me are HP restricted to 9.9HP. I had an Avalon 14' x 7' with a 9.9 a few years back. I sold the boat when we got a lake house on a unrestricted lake but we have since sold the house. So I'm now looking for a 18' fish/cruise with a 25HP that I can put 9.9 decals on. Does anyone have any input on brands and models?
Thanks,
Mike

I think you can put a 9.9 sticker on a 15 and get away with it. However, I think most 25hp motors are substantially larger and I don't think you would ever fool a LEO if they were to pull you over. Now if they never come out on your lakes you have nothing to worry about, other than a shithead neighbor that might report you.

So, you think neighbors who like to have their previously-agreed-upon restrictions obeyed deserve your profane moniker? What will YOU be when your neighbors violate the rules to which YOU subscribe?
Interesting that you find it necessary to lecture a stranger on the internet, on how to think and behave.

Unless you are the Admin here, seeking to exert control of the speech, thoughts and behavior of people on and internet forum speaks volumes in itself.

He is entitled, just like you and I are. Its OK. Rather than commenting on the informative aspects of my post he chose to be offended by a single word and make it personal.
Most of us don't sweat the little stuff, some live for it. Its all good. I just hope my post helped the OP a little bit in his decision making process.

cheers

I was not " triggered" by anything in this thread. I agree the 9.9 stickers on a 25 may be pushing it though. I fully understand the o.p. wanting to have a few extra h.p. as long as it's kept under the radar. It's not like you'll ever be skiing with a 25 h.p. motor.

As far as brands of boats are concerned I currently own a Tahoe same MFG as the Avalon the original post mentioned. I'm happy with the boats build and quality. If you're looking for a 18' fishing boat with a 25 h.p. motor I think tracker has a nice combo in that size!

Foghorn is a snowflake liberal who can't find his safe space to cry about having to read a word he finds offensive. He has been invited to leave before but no he hangs around to be offended.

Sadly, you do not recognize that your "holier than thou" attitude comes across as abrasive and insulting. I do not take umbrage with the concepts of following polite guidelines and rules. In fact, I agree with your opinions stated. Your propensity to talk down to people is what elicits negative reactions.

Look at your last post and how you described others:
"...small minded."
"...poor behavior and sorry low-life vocabulary of people who can’t express themselves otherwise"
"....maybe he can be educated to raise himself above the menial."

"..... bully behind a keyboard" is precisely what you are doing. Seriously, in the name of your righteousness, you are trying to force others to bend to your will, because you just know that your position is the only valid one. It is my suspicion that your background includes being in charge, and treating people like children.

No, this forum is not about politics, and you will likely never understand this connection: Your demeanor exudes the type of Liberal elitism that free thinking people spot immediately, and instinctively recoil from. I have never yet met a Liberal who sees the correlation, but it is quite real. Yes, I understand that you feel superior to the rest of us among the "unwashed masses" but we are not obliged to feel the same way you do.

I for one, welcome your participation and input - experience is a valuable resource to share. If you feel that you must be in control here, contact the Admin.

Marc

I see that you deleted your last post.

No, I certainly did not direct any vulgarity or profanity in your direction, as you claimed. Nobody said that you were the bad player here.
Step back, and reread the thread and think about it instead of jumping straight to the victim card.
