Can't believe there's not someone out there with a pontoon that has a permanent Livewell pump mounted out of the water

Tie a pump to the railing and toss it over the side when needed and keep everything in the live well when not in use?? I considered it because I didn't feel like running a hose and wire to the back of the log.

No one answered because it is a stupid question. A pump MOUNTED out of the water won't work

I haven't looked but there has to be a pump with enough suction to work. Something that could be mounted near or in a live well with a hose that can be extended downward when water is needed and withdrawn when the boat is under way. I have seen on Amazon wash down pumps that all that is needed is to throw the inlet hose over the side and turn on the pump.

Lots of pumps out there that aren't in the water. A friend has one that is cranked by hand in his back yard 20 feet above the water. You're looking for one with a rated draw the opposite of the one on my boat that is rated for how many feet it can push. You just need the right pump and a retractable inlet.

Look at this one. Four foot draw.

Now to the people on here that knows what I'm talking about I found a self priming pump. They say it will pump up 5ft. I think I'm going to weld a bracket on one of my pontoons to mount pump. I just wanted to see if anyone out there had some kind of permanent set-up.

I have no clue what set up you have but can only tell you what I would do on my boat. My live well is connected to my console. I would hook up the pump inside my console to my live well and just drill a hole inside the console through the deck to drop my inlet hose into the water. When it's time to leave just pull the hose out and roll it up in my console. I wouldn't do anything permanent the first boating season because after I use it all summer I think of a better way to change it next winter. But something always gets changed each winter.
