Packing it in!!!

#1 Post by curtiscapk » Mon Feb 24, 2020 3:10 pm

Well fella's we came to the realization that the lake lots were too much for us without the kids help. (too much going on) and it just wasn't the same without my old faithful lake dog. We decided to sell the lots and campers. DON'T WORRY we'll never get rid of THE FLOATER! We brought her back to the city. One of my coworkers lives 2 miles away from a State park Lake so we're storing THE FLOATER there. 23 minutes from the house to the toon and another 15 to the launch! We can be on the water in an hour instead of 3. There's 3 campgrounds that hopefully get repaired by summer, from last year's flood. The F150 pulled her great on the 150 mile trip. Barely knew it was back there. I did grease up the bearings on the trailer luckily, one side had mostly water in the hubs. The hubs tayed cool the whole way home. Now that the dog is gone (she always barked when casting fishing lines) we will be able to do some serious fishing! here's the pics of the rig!

You had me concerned reading the title of the thread lol. Now your boating can be random and spontaneous! We trailer all over ( tons of small lakes in s.e. mi) and can be at our local lake in ten minutes. We make many unplanned trips in the evenings all summer long. Glad to hear you are keeping the boat, I hate hearing when guys have to give it up !

Craig... you scared me there when you said packing it in... I sure understand though... glad you're holding on to the floater... like you said, you can be on the water in 1 hour now... glad you're hanging around.

LOL I did the title on purpose :rofl :rofl :rofl You bastards can't get rid of me! I've got so much sweat and tears in THE FLOATER I'd die if we got rid of her! We're helping clean out a stall in their barn on Saturday. 30 bucks a month for covered storage! We're pretty pumped to be able to just roll out whenever. Hell we may go on Sunday it might be 60!
