Mounting the bow transducer elsewhere

#1 Post by EastMark » Wed Jul 29, 2009 4:15 am

The model trolling motor is a Motorguide w55 wireless...great motor...like it alot. I have decided to add a 2nd Fishfinder/GPS (595C) to the bow mounted motor. Heres my issue...
The design of the W55 wireless is that you cant route the transducer wire any good way due to the way it stows when you pull it up.
I would love to get the transducer off the troller to solve this mess and mount it somehow at the front of the boat another way. Its got to be up front somewhere. A seperate bracket of some type maybe ?? Anyone seen any options on this or made a bracket that may work for me ? I know Id have to be sure not to get in the way of the trailer guide boards.
Thanks for any input. Im baffled. ;-)
