Wind Indicator
I would like to buy a wind indicator that I could mount on a railing of my Bennington 20 SLL. I could use a Davis wind vane, but I would have to drill holes in the rail to screw-in the base. I would much rather have some type of friction clamp, so that I could try the device in different location to decide where I ultimately want to locate it. Any ideas?
Re: Wind Indicator
Why not just a handheld Anemometer?

Re: Wind Indicator
Lick your finger and stick it in the air. Then you get wind speed, direction, and temp at the same time and no screws

thought we could joke around on here.
Re: Wind Indicator
I was licking my finger and sticking it in the air. Then, some guy in a bass boat fired three shots at me! So, I'm looking for another method.

Re: Wind Indicator
I guess I am just curious why you want one?? Or feel you need one?
Not trying to be a smart ass but its pretty easy to tell which way the wind is coming from, and estimate the speed.
If its windy enough to create a chop I just don't go that day.

I am the guy at the boat ramp that gives you dirty looks when you are a complete idiot and too stupid to know it.
