Hi Horsepen,

My wife and I live in Ball Ground, so we will most likely put in at Young Deer Creek near Shady Grove Church, then explore from there. Once it gets warm I will try and reach out to you.

We go Saturday week to take delivery, so will try and post some pics sometime after that.

Thanks again,
Randy

Congratulations on your new ride. We love the NE Georgia region, and it's almost a secret to many boaters. With Lake Lanier, you also have Carter's Lake, Blue Ridge, Nottley and Chatuge lakes--all very beautiful.

I can honestly say I've never seen any lake that has more luxury (pushing $10 million homes) than Lake Burton. It's a relatively small lake, but well worth going to if you're up on the NC/SC/GA borders. Entry level homes there are pushing $1 million. I always wondered what those owners' #1 homes in Buckhead look like???

Hey, you ever go anchor out by Nick Saban's house on Burton with glittery poster board and wait for him to come out, then squeal?
I would.

Nick Saban once bought a second house on Lake Burton, and it was for sale for $9.5 million.

The boathouses on the lake have to be architect designed and look like the homes. And they're built on wooden beams driven into the ground (rather than steel.) Many boathouses cost $250K+. And Georgia Power still won't allow houseboats, cruisers or any boats that have bathrooms on the lake.

The YMCA summer camp runs a dozen $125K Mastercraft ski boats all day long in the Summer. The wife & kids stay up there all summer and the fathers come in from Buckhead on Friday afternoons.

We keep a RV in the mountains a few miles from Lake Burton.
