Congrats on the lake house. Going to be full time our weekend/summer place?

Nothing like living on the water. We had a weekend lake house and a place closer to work till 2018 when someone made an unsolicited offer on our other house. Felt was to good to pass up. Increased my drive to work to about an hour each way. Worth it to be right on water.

Even decided to put in one of these. Touchlesscover.com

You will love spending day on water and dock boat then being at home.

Congrats again.
Thanks Brad! My property isn't waterfront, but the lake is at the end of my cul-de-sac. I'll be about 1/4 mile away from the community docks where I'll eventualy put in a lift and keep my boat there full time. (I've got a deeded slip). They're rebuilding the docks in the fall of 2021 so until then, I'm not going to put a lift etc. in my slip.

For now it's just going to be a weekend place, but I can quickly see myself spending a lot more time than that there during the summer. I can work remotely most days, so might as well do it at the lake!

How do you like the Touchlesscover??

The cover is really convenient. Does a good job keeping boat clean. I have learned to set off a bug bomb and spray every few weeks to control spiders. Had spiders before so the spraying was routine.

Neighbor has had one for a couple years and has held up well.

Both of us spent some time at first getting set up and bugs worked out.

I would probably have not dropped the coin to install one if we did not live here full time.

One other suggestion on the lake house from lesson we learned. It is fun to spend someone else's money......

Consider things you could not live without in a full time place n your plans if you can. Our lake place has a laundry closet not a laundry room and kitchen and master bedroom smaller than were used to. Both our vehicles would not fit in garage. Was ok on weekends but not so good when here on a full-time basis.

As such we have now bought a lot in same development - across cul-de-sac from where we are now and are building.....

While researching my next get-away cottage, I decided to move up to Bansil's neck of the woods on Lake Watauga.

Whaddyathink, would this make for a nice addition to my collection of pieds-a-terre? I'm sure I can scrap some spare change out of the junk drawer in the kitchen:

Puto-

Nice place, but what's the point of having bar stools in the water if there's not an adjacent swim up bar top? That makes it a no go for me! Man, I just saved over 3 million bucks! :rofl :biggrin2

I'm not a fundamentalist Mormon, or any kind of Mormon, so I only have the one wife. Whatever would I do with the other three kitchens?

Good point! I could wash my cars in there and cancel my monthly subscription at the local car wash! That saves me $20 a month. Hmmmm. Maybe I SHOULD by that house. Let me check with my banker.. LOL

i'm replacing my tandem pontoon trailer shoe brakes with disc brakes. Organizing the jumbled wiring in the console from the factory to a uniform configuration using buss bars and terminal blocks. Replacing the rocker switch covers with new ones and adding a couple of new switches . New radio. Adding a batteries selector switch and an automatic charging selector..Replacing front bimini cover........
