remote control trolling motor

#1 Post by ToddDanger » Tue Mar 23, 2021 3:00 am

Anyone running a remote contol trolling motor on their pontoon? I was fishing with a buddy this weekend who has one on his V hull. The spot lock is worth the price alone. If you are running one where did you hide the batteries? Thanks Todd

Batteries are under the helm along with a two bank charger and wired to an outlet in the starboard bow.

I have an Ipilot riptide terrova....Im in salt water. LOVE spot lock!!!!
My toon had one of those pop up changing stations so I took that out and put two batteries and on board charger in there.
It sits almost directly opposite of the helm station.

I have an Minn Kota I-Pilot Terrova also. Really like the ability to control the motor from anywhere on the pontoon boat. Yes the spot lock is a great feature. My main battery is in the rear in a storage area and the battery for the trolling motor is mounted under the helm. My pontoon boat came with the wiring ready for the trolling motor including all the battery cables and a receptacle/plug up front for the motor.
