I agree. Around 40 MPH if your bow is light enough to get some good lift.

With six people and a couple of coolers, 35 gps didn’t really push it past 5k for a little and not a lot of trim...
Mostly cruising and laying out the gps plot course for the kids to follow when I’m not here...

I would agree that you should be seeing 40 mph or slightly faster.

Two toon boats with strakes are actually faster than tritoons of the same length due to lower weight and less drag than having the third toon. But your handicap would be in taking tight turns where your outside toon will dig deeper into the water--slowing you down dramatically.

But as a straight ahead performer or long distance cruiser, your two toons should perform great. The Merc 150 FourStroke is a fine motor.

I finally looked at the prop last night as I was putting the cover on it.
It is a 15.25x14 Enertia ..
WOT is about 5000 with no trim, 5300 full trim 4 adults ,Large dog ,small child cooler, Adult and dog in Front ...
32mph no real difference on gps speed trim / no trim...
Pulls skier up no problem, Next weekend will try a few solo runs early am ...
28 mph cruise at 4k, Ran around all weekend on about 6 gals of gas ...
Very happy so far.

What RPMs is your engine rated for at WOT?
I always try to get Max RPM with three people/approx 500 lbs and half to full tank of fuel.
And expect less than max when you begin to load it up.

5300 is a long way from 5800.
See if you can get close to 5800 with a lighter load. 56-57 would be great. If not, may need a different prop. Hopefully the dealer will work with you.
FWIW, mine is rated for 6200 and engine can get there and slightly over lightly loaded. But I rarely run even close to that.
Beer gets flat if you go to fast :biggrin2

They swapped it for a 16x11 tonight…
Will try that tomorrow, they can go to a x13 if needed…
Never going to be only 1 or 2 people…
I can be judicious on throttle if needed then…
WOT pulling tube is 4900 at same speed as 5300, about 35…
We’ll see tomorrow…
Dealer is great, they want to know as well..
“Won’t be the last 22’ with a 150 we sell…

They took it out and put the computer on it.
They said the 16x11 was the correct prop.
I can now get to 5700 with couple of people, only 28 gps.Actually speed has never waivered much even fully loaded?
I’m gone fo4 10 days, they said they would try a few other 4 blade non stainless for, me.
I would really like to get back to 35+ like it was on the original , it just didn't have enough rpms so they worried about warranty issues later…
Seriously, the 16x11 pulled the 200 lb adults out of the water in few feet…
But so did the 15.3x14
