toons with pump out heads?

#1 Post by rsmith » Tue Oct 06, 2009 3:00 pm

My wife an I are looking into purchasing our first boat - of course a pontoon due to the versatility of them.

It looks like it's easy enough to add a porti-potti to any toon that doesn't come with one, but do you guys know what manufacturers offer a pump out head? My wife would live this feature and so far I can only find Premier offering one. As my luck would have it - they don't have a deal in the Denver area.

Thanks
Robert

I know of none who do except for MyYacht, and they build just larger liveaboard pontoons. I'd like to add one to my Party Cruiser at some point, it's not very hard to do.

Welcome

I was looking at this one, it has almost 10gal holding tank, with a fairly small foot print. My porta has the attachments for pump out, although I don't use them. The holding tank is 5 gal or less.

thanks for the info. I hadn't even thought of adding a pump out head as an after market upgrade.

On the plus side, just for reference and info I requested a brochure from Premier only to get a call from a deal reasonable close to me. Turns out a dealer has just signed with Premier, one more manufacture to consider!

I personally prefer having a portapooper that I can empty into any toilet... My rule is, the portapotty is for emergency use only and 95% of the time we are close to a camp ground or some other public toilet that it never gets used. Most of the time people just pee in the water. I bet I have only had to empty my portapotty three or four times in the last several years...

I've had to empty mine 4 times just during Canal Days until we changed the rules to: If you're not our crew or a hot chick showing us boobies, you can't use it :)
