I have serious doubts that any product can restore the crappy gas we are forced to use these days for more than 3 months, 3 years ? I say BS. I just winterized the Party Cruiser, put Startron (blue) in the tank first and took it for a cruise 'til I burned the tank down to 1/4. Took it out of the water, warmed it up to the temp guage read 165, hooked up the antifreeze tank, drained the fuel tank and ran it until it started sputtering...as soon as it did, a squirt of fogging oil down the carb and hope I have no issues next spring :nono

Changed the oil while it was warm and now I am in the process of cleaning inside and out. :drink4 :drink

BMR, speaking of antifreeze, how much does your merc hold? I put 4 gal into a five gallon bucket.....and it only pulled up 2 gal.

Thanks, then I'm OK. It was the 1st time I'd done it this way and I wasn't sure.

As long as the water coming out is pink (or whatever color antifreeze you use), you're fine. The pink I use is rated to -50 degrees and our average winter temps are above freezing, coldest it's ever gotten here is in the teens and that's pretty rare.

Ya, i ran 4 gallons of the -50 through mine. Pink was coming out within the first couple gallons....

Hopefully the seafoam works for me this winter...
It worked last year and i think we had the 'crappy' gas then too...

Guess ill move to the Startron (blue) next year?....

UPDATE: Was just reading the Startron site and it sounds like it does the same engine cleaning thing as Seafoam, so now im curious....
Why use Seafoam at all BMR?

After I was told to only use Startron and never Seafoam with E-10, I only use Seafoam for cleaning carbon out of my engines, not as a stabilizer. It works well for that.

Right...
It just sounds like Startron will clean the engine just like Seafoam, and i was thinking why buy 2 products..

Just thought I would pass this along.........a few said they were having problems locating the marine (blue) stabil. Found some at autozone today, advance auto didn't have it. Glad they were close together.

Our local Wal-Mart had a ton of it today. I am winterizing Cheryl's scooter, the fishing boat, power washer, and generator and am using it in all of them.
