floor vibration from outboard

I am still searching for the right pontoon boat for me. However for those more familiar i have a question.

I have noted that some pontoons have floor vibration at different revs and others don't at all.

Is this something to do with outboards not fitted properly?

I have experienced this with 20HP and 115HP and also seen a 25HP with no vibrations.

just curious if this is the norm.

I have noticed when I troll at around 1200 RPM's I get a vibration. It make my door latch rattle. I give a bit more or less and it goes away. Beats me why

Also could be caused by water hitting cross members at speed.

hmmm..... the last pontoon i looked at was 7.5m suntracker with 115HP and it vibrated under my feet at idle and revved up in neutral. haven't taken it for water test yet though so maybe its more common than i think. with a tinny it doesn't seem to happen so thats why i am asking about this.

like i have a 4.29 tinny with 50HP and no vibrations at all.

I picked up more vibration at idle speed when I had the center log mounted. It rattles my from gate @ 1100 rpms or so.

Not certain if that is common with tritoons from the factory but it is something I can live with.

Called resident harmonic's, where at certain rpm's you have vibrations that are in tune with the frame and start the whole thing buzzing.

Thanks for the replies, looks like its fairly normal then

I guess with tinnies the transom is usually thicker and part of the hull where as pontoon boats seem to have the transom is attached to the floor and not part of the hulls unless its a tri-toon.

i suppose a 12 or 15mm ply added to the transom might act as a buffer to cut any vibrations.
