floor lights

At least one manufacture offers floor lights as an option. They look like either LEDs or rope lights attached to the kick plate under the seat edge. Is that something that can be had through DIY after-market? Is there a lot of after market accessories for pontoons or is what-you-have what-you-got?

Lights are one of the easiest things to add, IMO. Check out led light web sites like www.superbrightleds.com or one similar. they have rope led lights, that run off of a 12v supply ( like our boats, cars) and are a relatively good price. I purchase all of my automotive LED lights from this site, and I have not had a bad product yet. Plus, thier shipping time/rates are very reasonable.

Ive ordered a few things from them before for landscaping lights. Im waiting to get all new 12v set-up to replace the fourteen 60 watt bulbs the previous owner used to light up the walkway. Every time I switch those on, the house lights dim. Seems like all my automotive lights are either on blinkers or dimmers.

You can buy the LED's that aren't bothered by dimmers. I changed out all of the dome lights in my Grand Prix to LED's, and once you put the key in, the lights go from full on, to slowly dimmed, to off. NO problems at all.

With the blinkers, all you need are load resistors, which are fairly cheap. That fixes those. :biggrin2
