Got some bad news on my new manitou today.
The dealership was taking it out of storage and found a stress fracture on one of the toons.
The head guy in service said they just order a new toon and unbolt the old one and bolt the new one in its place. Anyone had a toon replaced before? Is it realy no big deal as he says? Its getting done on warranty but I am wondering how this could be there is only 40 hrs on it.

It's not a big deal for a Dealership. I think it's great that they found it and are taking care of it for you. Speaks volumes about your Dealership.
There are many reasons it could be cracked, sometimes stuff just happens, I wouldn't worry about it to much.

Yes, very cool that they noticed it and are taking care of it!
Find out where that stress spot was and keep an eye on that location in the future.
I wouldnt sweat it though...
Just tell em to HURRY cause toon season is coming up!

If it's going to happen it will happen in low hours, means they didn't have something right and it showed up.
But I with everyone else I glad they looked it over good and found the problem and ordered a replacement toon for you.

Good thing they found it, and you're getting it taken care of.
Oh, and if you have a 2 logger, see what the're going to do with the bad log. Maybe you could take if off their hands for cheap, and have it fixed, and have a 3rd. log on your toon.
