Next morning, i shuffle over to the marina store and ask for my second set of keys and they hand em to me, no problem!

Then the lady says. "hey, maybe these are yours?"

I've never left my keys, quite frankly, I don't see that hapening. My keys are in the same place the storage key, and the 6" rise receiver w/ ball are..... In my truck. I can't pull the toon with anything else, even if I consider vehicles that family and nearby friends have. If I forget the keys, then I've got bigger problems.

Now loosing them off the boat could be a different story.

I've made it the 20 miles to the lake with out the key at least twice. At least its not that far back to the house. I need to make a couple spares and hide them on the toon but i keep forgetting.

I just leave my key in the ignition so if someone wants to steal the boat they do not have to buy a new ignition switch. :lol3

Hate to do this, but feel I must. My wife and I took the boat out for the first time this season, today. 82 degrees outside. 15 to 25 MPH gusts of south wind. We went downstream about 30 miles and back. When the wind is out of the south, on the Mississippi, we get 2 to 4 foot whitecaps in places. Which we did. The boat ran fine, handled the waves great. We had a real good time. Jumped alot of waves, ran the boat hard a few times, carved a few doughnuts. Got home and was putting the cover on, went to the back to snap it down over the sunpad, and found.....

my battery charger, on the rear deck, still hooked up to the battery!

I did remember to unplug it from the outlet, last night, when I was getting it ready for the trip!

I enjoyed all your posts on this subject, maybe later I will add my miss-adventures in this area. Since I have only posted one other time and would prefer not to show my hand too quickly. ( Some go beyond stupid.) I really wanted to share a story a co-worker told me a few years back. I seems they just bought a new boat and headed for the lake. After zig-zagging down the ramp a couple times and as many heated and very loud discussions ( she claimed "Hubby" didn't trust her directions) they finally get the boat in the water. She found a slip at the dock and got the boat tied up with the aid of a bystander. He must have been watching the show as he spoke these words.."new boat, huh?"
