Yea if your doing it like that, but then my 50 ain't kicking up that much of a fuss anyway, besides I got a prop guard and I can tilt it up an still power on and the force will be on top of the water.

But then most of the places I go to have long ramps and the only time you reach the end is if the water gets low, but with all the rain we get most years that's not a problem.

the ramps in the upper midwest usually have concrete aprons that don't go in all that far (except on the federal water), or they are all gravel. a LOT of these ramps have been totally trashed by lazy people who powerload with lots of power and no care in trimming. from what i hear the fines are starting to fly.

Yea that would be like doing a tight turn in the plane at full throttle in the middle of a bunch of planes, you sure to piss people off and maybe damage a plane.

Do that at Sun a Fun when they got the planes packed in tight and you get your ass kicked for sure.

Always someone not willing to do it the right way

um if you do it correctly you dont realy need the motor to get on your trailer you just have to obe good at it i come in at an idle speed but start a few yards back from the trailer most of the time you can use your momentume to get all the way on the trailer. with out going faster than idle. there is know need for over reving your motor to get on the trailer. o then you turn the motor off and hook up the wench and off you you go done in 2 min flat or so

So I got a good look at my trailer this weekend. I knew I had guides on the inside of my toon but it didn't hit me as to why I still would be off kilter a little and have had to back out and try again or have some one nudge me over etc....

my guides were lose as hell! I went up to them and pushed em in and now they rest right next to the toons. :nana

I am still thinking about using bunks though. I will see in two weeks when we finally put her in the water.

Pic is after moving in place if you look at the frame you can see they were inch or two the other way which is way to much room to float over.

Sounds like a lot of bunk to me, just say no and go full rollers every where, I like mine if I go to salt water I don't have to worry about the toons sitting on salt water wet carpet.

Now I do have to watch it till I hit the second roller but then it runs straight on.

somebody on the pontoon forum from hell posted awhile back about having their
big toon settle onto one of those almost vertical rollers and it punched a big
hole in one log. maybe it was stevestormey, don't recall.

That's why you don't get the trailer to deep, the second time I loaded mine I got it up on the left rear roller, but it got rubber on top too, so I just had to put in back enough to shift it over and pull back out.

No marks or dings at all, now I can't say the same for the right front toon, but it was not virgin, did that one the first time had it really to deep and hit my front roller supports, but I got better and finely learned how deep to put it in.

If you get everything good and wet first it usually makes it so much easier to slide it all the way home.
