Whats your take on swimming under the boat?

#1 Post by mike » Thu Mar 23, 2006 7:13 am

I have heard stories about co from the motor settling under the boat and people dying when swimming between the toons? Is this something to worry about or urban myth?

Your not under the toon when the engine is running.

But that's the fun of having a two toon model, getting in the shade on a hot day is great, I hide away and let the kids go wild, need a hammock to hang underneath and nap

Oh hell yes. put your lifejacket on upside down like a diaper, and bob around in the shade with a nice cold beer. Now that’s my idea of swimmn!!!

that upside down jacket sounds good to me with a floating cooler full of brew. But seriously, I would only allow it with the motor raised so some dim wit didn't try and start it or remove the key and take it with you on a floating key fob.

swimming under the boat

Have new hammock ready to hang under boat. Had one on last toon ans wove swimming noodles around the edges and used a square floatation device for a pillow. Nothing better than tunes on stereo, cold beverage and a nap in July under the boat 8)

This is where us non-tritooners rule!
Making usuable space underneath the boat..
One of the few benefits over a tritoon.

We've never had a problem with people going under the deck. We did have a rule when our kids were smaller - No diving under the pontoons themselves.

Why did you have that rule?
