Went and got the 'toon out of the storage lot to clean her up for the season. When I took the cover off, the carpet is green with mold in several places. Looks to be just on the surface - hope it isn't too deep in the pile. Anybody have suggestions on how to get it out?

Go to home depot , paint department and get some jo-max mold and mildew remover, you mix it with bleach, the jo-max kills the mildew and the bleach whitens it, then you can spray it away

oxyclean. Make sure to dilute it or you make bleach the carpet.

I just use a regular carpet cleaner and my pressure washer. If you don't own one it's an excuse to buy one. You will find many uses around the house for a pressure washer.
