I just signed some paperwork for a 2008 Crest Super Fisherman 2260 with a 90 EFI Four stroke Merc and a haul-rite trailer. ($25500) How fast should this go? How was the price....?

Would adding a third pontoon or lifting strakes add speed given the same boat/motor package?

Third toon will help in ride and flotation, what you gain in speed you get from the extra toon will be mostly lost to the weight added.

Strakes will help gain speed but also add drag at slow speeds, all depends on what your going to be doing most of the time.

If you going to have it loaded with people most of times out, the third toon would be great and you will be floating higher in the water and will be more stable.
