i know how to crunch it, no problem, but at 7k big its like only 16 colors or something...
my orginal icon is 32k big...
right now im serving it off my server so it looks decent....

Ok I willing to look at bigger which I guess is what you mean, but you can put a picture in your signture, because I really don't know what going bigger messes with yet , I will have to ask Mike that one as he is hosting this site for us.

But give us time and go read this post http://pontoonforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=762

No prob! Ya chat it over with him... basically it improves the quality of the pic.
Its down side is bigger things load slower, but 7k vs 30k shouldnt be a slamming difference.. :)

Look up in the left top control panel, click on that, then hit profile, and you can edit or add avatar, then you can have get off your computer or insert and link 150x150

If you look into the control panel where you setup an avatar, you can see the pic limitation.

"Maximum dimensions; width: 150 pixels, height: 150 pixels, file size: 7.81 KiB."

What im saying is bump that 7.81 up say to 15, or even 30-35. That way the icon, especially if its a picture, will appear clearer.
