It cold out there

#1 Post by HandymanHerb » Wed Nov 19, 2008 10:26 am

Damm might be time to put the toon up, it dropped in the 40's last night and only getting 60, it's 58 out there right now, somebody go warm the truck up for me, I went out and took my big ladder off the truck and the wind started blowing , I screamed like a girl and ran back into the house.

We were going to leave last night and go shoot gator's and they like to lay up when it gets cold and sun, but it was to cold and the wind has been blowing, so they will stay hid so we waited to go maybe tonite or early in the morning, only got a few weeks left till we lose the tags for a month, while there be reissued

Hey Herb haven't heard anything on gator meat. I bet shipping is outragous. I sent 15 lb ribs to Idaho last year and 2nd day cost me $85.00. If thats why I haven't heard then thats just fine. Don't need it that bad

It is cold her in sunny South Carolina. Wife and I were shopping for a lake cottage yesterday (gonna sell the one I have and move to another lake that is deeper and has higher water level), and it was cold with the wind chill from the wind. Last night it was in the 20's -- ugh!

No I just been over loaded, all my work comes in one week, but I don't think it will be that bad, It's just getting the dry ice and getting it shipped, I need to work on that tomorrow as work is dead again

It was 17 degrees here when I got up this morning. Went up to a whopping 26 degrees by mid day.

But there a big difference in our temps, I went to my Great Aunts funeral last November in Ky and it was 26 and we were outside and it wasn't that bad, we shot the bull outside for hours, 2 days later I'm back in Fla and freezing in 50 degrees with a wind, it would blow right through you, as wet as our air stays here.

Went I got out of the Seabee's, I got a job in Gulfport,Miss for a few years, that place sucks, stays 100 percent humidity year around, you melt in the heat, you might as well be in a sauna, and freeze in the cold, like your standing in water, that's why I can't really complain about Orlando weather anymore.

Yes, it does seem too early for this kind of cold. Especially around here. It was 19-degrees at 6:30 yesterday morning on the north side of Atlanta. It did go up to 50 later in the day.

In Maryland, if it snows 2 inches, all the bread and toilet paper get sold out, no one knows how to drive and all the schools are closed...
