boat price

#1 Post by bug73 » Sun Apr 02, 2006 11:16 am

sorry this is not a ponoon boat question but I figured I would go to the best source of info I know of...

My mother-in-law is selling a few items and one of them is a small, looks to be a 12 foot, v-bottom aluminum boat with a roller trailer. What is a good price for this?

I searched boattrader.com but could not come up with anything simular. I guess ebay is my next search. We are located here in Grand Rapids Michigan.

Any ideas?

Tough to say without seeing it, but I'd say between $200 - $400. Consider that you can pick up your basic aluminum no-frills fishing boat with a 5hp motor (used) for around $600.

OK..thanks all....sorry I did not say no motor, it in really good shape coinsidering its been sitting upside down for the last 10 years behind her storage shed. I think the upside down is what preserved it.

bug one thing about that boat, there are people always looking for them and here you see hundreds that are like you say upside down or leaned up next to a shed and been there for years. When you ask if it is for sale they say no! might need it one day.

If you put it out for sale there is no telling how much someone will pay for it.

I would say if you are not in a hurry to sell it ,do like we do here in California with house prices. Sell it for a high price and then just take the best offer you get

With the weather just now breaking in West Michigan, now would be the best time to try and sell that thing.
