It's 1 1/4" black pipe-tubing.

1 1/4" ID

1.66" OD

.14" Wall

Bottom plate is 2" wide x 1/4" flat iron

Nice job! Only concern I would have is if your tow rope will pop off when the person/persons you are towing fall off or let go and you get the loose rope slap going. With the ring design you loop around the ring and thread the tow rope loop over the rod (in your design a bolt) to prevent this...maybe a larger washer (fender washer) on top of your bushing would have the same effect? Keep us posted how it works...I have a very similar design being made for me and I was thinking of buying one of the premade rings and mounting it to my tubing. Again...nice job with the design.

You just have to loop and twist the rope and wrap it around again, that makes the rope fit tighter so it won't pop off. I had a pylon on my ski boat that had something similar to what I built, never had an issue. Hopefully get to try it out this weekend, but I might be stuck at work all weekend.

Got it mounted up the other night. Used it on the 4th. Worked great. My son enjoyed knee boarding much better as he was able to cut in and out of the wake easier. It was also great on the tube.

Nice job. Now how much are you charging to build each of us non-metal types one of these? or at least the plans?
