Just looked at a Bentley this past weekend and it seemed like a well built boat. Any input from owners? New to "toons" and trying to figure out what we want.

If you're from Seneca, SC, Bentleys are made 100 miles south of you in Lexington.

Bentley had some legal problems that have since been settled, and the company is called Bentley Encore under management of the original owner. There are a lot of Bentley Pontoons in the Southeast.

Bentley Encore is a mid line pontoon boat, and there are a number of competitive brands in their price range. There's a big dealer in Macon, and I understand the dealer in Flowery Branch (Lake Lanier) has a great reputation and is very competitive on prices.

Doc on this forum has a Bentley 243 on Lake Oconee, and maybe he can chime in on his experience.

I would just tell you to take your time, and to look at every brand of pontoon in your price range within your retail market. And if you're in SC, you're 75 minutes from the largest retail boat market in the SE U.S.--Lake Lanier and Atlanta. Boattrader.com and EbayMotors.com can quickly show you who the dealers are that are willing to compete for your business by price.

Been happy with my bentley. Lot of bang for the buck. Suntracker has some good pricing on there toons also. Think you can price a suntracker online.
Might be able to get you a little off from the dealer in Oakwood near Lake Lanier, if you decide to go Bentley.

Our Seneca is one of the Finger Lakes in New York.

I have a 2007 Bentley 240 Fish with a 115 Mercury 4 stroke and love it. I hadn't had it that long, sold my 93 Suntracker and bought the Bentley. I wanted a bigger motor and a 4 stroke. I think the Bentley is a better built boat. Hope that helps.
