I just put the state registration numbers on my new Godfrey Sweetwater Sunrise 18. The decals applied from the factory for the name of the boat make & model, as well as the decorative stripe, leaves NO room for 3 " numbers to be applied where they need to be. Is it too much to ask that a manufacturer leave 4 inches clear for 3 inches tall of numbers ? The capital letters are even taller and the "S" actually overlaps with one of my numbers The port side is differant than starboard of course, because the letters (words) run a different direction. HHHHhhhmmmm..............

can you send us a pic ? Ga. requires 3" letters with a min of 1" space between numbers and letters. The regst. decal must be first on both port and starboard, thats where a lot get it wrong.

Florida is similar, 3 inch letters, but the spaces are between the FL, space, 4 #s, space, XX. Reg sticker on port only. Heres a factory picture attached. Bottom line is the manufacturer was more interested in how their company decals look, than an owner being able to comply with state laws. There is no spaces 3 or more inches tall to insert the required number decals, on the front third of the boat, without overlaping "SWEETWATER" factory applied decals. Especially when the numbers have to contrast with the background color. :|

good idea, but my point is manufacturers need to place their decals in other places.
