Honest Opinions Needed

#1 Post by ASVAdave » Tue Sep 02, 2014 9:45 am

I'm Dave Harris, the owner of ASVA Research. I love the comment for the Manufacturer Reviews!

We are currently working on a study for Deck Boats and we need the honest opinions of customers that have bought a NEW deck boat within the past 5 years. We don't sell anything and your information will NOT be shared!! If you purchased any of the following deck boats new, within the past 5 years:

BAYLINER
BRUNSWICK DECK
CHAPARREL
CROWNLINE
FOUR WINNS
MONTEREY
MPX
NAUTICSTAR
RINKER
SEA RAY
SMOKERCRAFT
STARCRAFT
TAHOE DECK

Please take a minute and register for the online study at http://s.asvaresearch.com/IntWeb.dll?IM ... 2.SFM14012

The online study takes about 15-18 minutes (you can come back and finish later if you only have a few minutes at a time) and you will be entered in to win an Amazon Gift Card for $100.00!

Thanks!!

Dave

Most on this forum are pontooners/tritooners.

A deck boat's a completely different animal--a tri hull boat with seating on top of the hull rather than down in the hull like other boats.

Pontooners that have switched to deck boats are seldom satisfied due to the poor ride of most deck boats. And they will trade and "come home."

The only deck boat I'd own is the Azure made by Bennington. It's a very large and absolutely beautiful deck boat. But even Bennington couldn't produce and sell them profitably, as they're out of production now.

Dave, I'll be glad to tell you, I thought I wanted to buy a deck boat. Looked at every one is could find. Then I looked at the pontoons, and never looked back.

I had a high dollar Sea Ray deck boat...

She was pretty, went fast, sounded manly, rode well, smelled good and had Jimmy Buffet in the cassette deck. I finally wised up and got tired of all the I/O issues and maintenance.

I got my used pontoon and found the EASY button.

Deck boats are prone to rot very badly.
