Awesome boat. Great color scheme. How fast does she go with the 150?

Enjoy it.

So far just 30mph. I get some "slippage" after about 3500rpms. I haven't really looked at the prop yet, so I don't know the pitch, etc.

Just take your time on break in, got all summer. If and when you go prop shopping don't overlook the enertia (probably the 16p) they just seem to make a toon want to get up and go. Should be looking at 37 to 40 just depending on the weight of the boat.

Good hunting I did the same thing you are doing going to dealer to dealer. Just take your time check all the options then sit down with your wife and find out what you are going to use the toon for. ie fishing swiming partying or al the above. I looked at many models. Bennington if you are going for all the above not to be bias but bennington makes a fish and cruse model that is vewry nice. I looked for 3 years b4 i decided on a bennington 2075 gli. Nice to have the motor sitting back farther gives more room in toon. like i said take your time weight the options. you have a good start glad to see you are using all your resources including internet. I think that is important. don't forget the big ones are nice but what kinda room do you have are you going to trailer it alot or not at all thinks to think of.

One last issue. Part of my decision making process had to do with the dealer's on-water presence. i.e. where is he located? As I don't need/want a trailer, I needed a dealer who could be easily accessed by either water or willing to pick up (we do have a public access ramp across from us). As it turned out, the dealer we bought from is 9 miles away by water. Others either had no water presence or were 30 miles away.

That and the Bosslady has a real strong sixth sense on honesty/integrity.

We picked 'er up on Saturday and went out on Sunday. Rained like a mother on Monday. Went out on Tuesday. Rained or threatened rain the rest of the week.

Got home on Friday and in the mail was an express mail package from the dealer. :coffee Opened it up and enclosed was all the boat paperwork that was supposed to be sent to Honda. :donno Can you say free boat??? :nana

Called the dealer to ask wtf. It took a while to get someone there to understand that I now have every bit of paperwork on the sale. The gal on the other end about fainted. :hammer I played nice and dropped everything back off to them on my way back down to the lake today.

Nice boat. Our story is basically the same as yours. I wanted a "high performance package" but with the cost it just wasn't going to happen. We bought a Premier 22.5 Legend Triple Toon with a 150 E-Tec. Yesterday we had ten people on board, 3 coolers, food, dog, 30 gallons of gas, and still went 30 mph operating around 4200 rpm with plenty of power left. I'm in Middle River (Chesapeake Bay) dealing with all types of boats, wakes, sea conditions and haven't had any problems. Last Sunday we were in small white cap chop condition, my son and daughter (17 & 24 yrs old) fell asleep, wife was reading a book enjoying the view, I was looking at other peoples reaction why this pontoon is going so fast (25 mph) and riding so nice. Good times are in your future.

One of the nice features about the newer JC Mfg units is that the helm station opens up like a car hood. Everything is right there. Easy access to all wiring and fuses.

We were able to go out only a couple of times over the July 4th holiday week due to the weather. Had 'er for 2 months and can only put on 10 hours. Frack!

How has your experience been as a JC owner?
