Budge Boat Covers - beware...

Some of you may have Budge brand boat covers and have had success with them.
Someone I know may have permanent vinyl damage due to the cover coming loose when trailering and rubbing on the vinyl.

The cover he bought was designed to be in place while traveling/moving... From what I heard, the cover has a "protective inside layer." First problem was the cover did not stay in place during the drive. Second issue is the inside layer rubbed the vinyl in several areas and left what seems to be permanent black marks. Solvents and the Magic Eraser didn't help. Now he's getting a detailer to try and fix the damage.

I'm not sure if he contacted Budge but, I thought I'd let you know about this cover and potential problems.
Amazon has some negative ratings on this cover as well but, I didn't see anything about this vinyl issue.

If there's a 'miracle vinyl cleaner,' let me know... And maybe a good lawyer?

Budge probably makes good covers, it's the "protective inside layer" that seems to do the opposite.
