Barletta vs ??????

Barletta as some know is a relatively new boat manufacturer with the first boats coming out in early 2017. I just recently purchased on a 2019 E24QC. The E is not as oppulent as the L and about 10K less. Being new there isn't much review information. They did make changes in some design feature based on initial complaints. One was the bimini top. Initial ones didn't have a front support tube because Barletta was afraid that they would be replacing a ton of awning motors, it's a power top, but it also became a sail while under motion. Current ones including mine have the front support. Any comments would be appreciated, good bad or the ugly.
Thanks and looking forward to many hours cruising around in ours.

I have a new ā€œCā€. Only have 12 hours on her. Very nice ride. My 7th boat and 2nd Toon. First Tritoon. The 200 Merc 4 stroke seems very smooth and adequate.
Iā€™m very pleased.

The owner of Barletta was 1/3 owner of Grand Design RV's before selling out to Winnebego. And they kicked a$$ as a company in the first 5 years or so. And he's just a great guy--very customer oriented.

I think if you have any problems at all, you'll find his organization to be top rate in customer service. They're doing a lot right in a retail business that's ferocious with competition.

Saved $10,000 by going with a Harris instead of a Barletta. The electric bimini and included dog dish just didn't justify the difference for me. I'm very happy with my choice.

Just purchased by Winnebago for $255M. Going to push to get them in their Chris-Craft dealerships. $$$

Not suprising. The leaders/founders of Barletta come from the RV industry, and had already sold one of their previous RV startups to Winnebego. So selling to Winnebego or another big RV Company was probably part of their strategy. Sold for 8.5 times EBITDA. That's a pretty good valuation.

2 1/2 year review. We're very happy with the purchase although learning to drive it with the extra length and weight was interesting. Previous pontoon was a G3 20' fish and cruise pontoon with a Yamaha 90 and weighed more than 2000# less. Previous boat was a 18' open bow with 175 I/O. The E24QC tritoon handles the bay far superior than the G3 pontoon. We've made a number of RV trips so the boat doesn't rack up a ton of hours. 105 to date and I'll be bringing it home next week, stays in NW FL on a bay on a lift, for servicing and hurricane protection. We're taking off on a 2+ month RV trip and it's prime time for tropical systems.

The Mercury 150 does very well for our use. I've pulled tubes several times and it does so easily. No skiers yet. Otherwise just bay and bayou cruising and a lot of sunset cruises. If I were to up-power it would be the 250 big block and PS but happy with the way it is. The dock has a roof and I frequently put the mooring cover on if we're gone more than a week so the interior has held up well. Being under cover is the key.

With the covid/supply chain craziness, I looked up the boat from current sellers. IF you can find one this year and model goes for 10-15K MORE than I paid for it. They don't make the E class anymore so an L can easily bump 100K. Crazy. No intention to sell so it's irrelevant.

Happy in Alabama and NW FL.
