Pontoon Boat & Deck Boat Forum

Hi all,

my wife and I are getting ready to move to Lake Gaston (NC side) this summer with the goal of lake life that includes getting out with family, friends and grandkids on the water to tube, ski, fish and lounge. I've been looking very heavily into Pontoons, we've owned lake boats and ocean vessels before but never a pontoon. I've come to focus on the Avalon GS 2385 Rear Fish w/200hp Merc, it checks all my needs, meets my price point (<$60k) and the dealer/service shop is within 5 mins on Lake Gaston "Overby Marine".

I'd love to hear some feeback on Avalon products and service from owners or anyone that has experience with Overby Marine.

Although I own a Sweetwater (Godfrey) on Lake Anna, one of my closest friends just moved to Gaston last year and they bought an Avalon from Overby. They've been extremely happy and are pleased with boat the boat and the dealer. Apparently Overby is a nice family owned busines that has been around awhile and has a good reputation.
