Stanley has a 35 watt HID spotlight #HID0109 that outshines any XX-million candlepower light on the market. The sucker is the brightest handheld light I've seen. Spots buoys miles away. Rechargeable, but can be operated from a cigarette lighter. List 79.95 Wallyworld 69.88. (No connection with "Stanley or Wallyworld)

Looks like a great light and the price is not that bad. I just converted my wifes van to the HID headlights and she loves them.

Guess I will try and lay hands on one. Some guy did a demo on utube, looks promising if the battery will hold up long as they say. I must have five of those plug in type, think I have from 10cp to 500cp or a million can't remember.

I've looked at the Stanley and the only thing that I don't like is the weight. I would suggest anyone interested in one to go by Walmart and check it out before ordering one. I believe my arm would give out before the battery. :donno

Yes weight would come in, I think I rather just have it plug in and have it lighter

Well picked one of these up this evening. Got it on charge now. They had about 5 of these along with two others similar style one was 1-M 580 lumens for 18 bucks and a 2-M 1365 lumens about 30 bucks. As I went around the aisle, I ran into a larger display of stanley lights with even smaller sizes. The smallest was an LED. All looked similar to the HID just smaller. So if weight is an issue they probably got one a size that would suit you. I thought it was heavy also but once I removed it from the packaging it doesn't feel as heavy. May get one of the lighter ones later on but mainly got this for the power. I think my first hand held was 10k cp then the 20k cp and so on till think the last one was 1 million cp. all of these are the plug in type an no onboard battery. Think I am going to like this one. Hopefully it will hold a good charge and be ready when I need it.

It is a keeper. Charged up in three hours, hope that isn't a bad thing. The instructions said 6 or 7 hrs. It was as bright as my most powerful plug in if not brighter. Put the beam down the street about 1200 ft or so, it lit the entire top of the tree at that distance. Need more room to get a better feel of its power, but all in all 30 bucks for the light 30 bucks for the battery an 10 bucks for some guy in China to put it together is a pretty good deal

I'll say. 31 pages on a flashlight! I'd see if they were talking about something cool like tap fins but a flashlight?!
