Brand Spakin New!

New to the board and to owning a pontoon. 
Actually I dont have the boat yet but looking to buy end of the season/over the winter.
I live up in the Chain of Lakes region in Illinois and I am looking at getting a 20 or 22 ft pontoon. I am single so I want a vessel that I can enjoy with friends along with handle on my own.
I weighed the options and I decided to go with new vs used for various reasons.
Ive been researching marinas and their service departments and narrowed it down to the brands South Bay and Veranda.
However no one I know has a Veranda boat. Does anyone have any opinions or reviews on this brand?
