Pontoonstuff.com review

#1 Post by Heatman » Thu Aug 12, 2010 5:25 pm

I made my first order with them and even though the product was slightly damaged their customer service was excellent!

I ordered a new flip-flop set that serves as my helm seat and livewell online 7/27. It said it usually ships in 3-5 days. I recieved it on 7/29...only 2 working days. The only problem was 1 corner had about a 3/4" tear.

I called that evening and left a message describing the problem. I got a call the next day( Friday 7/30) and the gentleman asked me to send him some pictures. I did so over the weekend.

I recieved the following email from him on Monday 8/2.

Thanks Paul for the pictures. I already have a replacement piece in the works for you with our manufacturer. It may take 7-10 days for it to arrive, so if you need to go ahead and use the defective cushion while you wait.
If they want it returned, they will provide you with a return label inside the box that the new cushion comes in.

The new seat cushion arrived today 8/12 and no return slip so it looks like I get to keep the damaged seat which honestly the tear would be hidden against the fence unless you lift it up. I was just concerned about it getting larger.

Anything else I may need in the future I will certainly consider them 1st!

glad it worked out good for you.. i order off the net a good bit an never had a real problem, although it is always in the back of mind....hope I don't have to box it up an send it back. think part of the good customer service is they don't want visa or mc on them, not to mention bad press on the net.

Not concerned with why they provided good service, as long as they do!

That forum is helpful to guys that are rebuilding their pontoons but can't do off topic or say "tough shit" or they clean up your posting and change your words.

I replaced my front lounge seats using stuff from them...very pleased with their service. the forum is a bit stuffy to keep it kid-friendly and nice, but a lot of great info for rebuilding a toon from the pontoons up.

going to bring up an old thread to give props to pontoonstuff.com. I got some Christmas gifts and one of the seat pedestal adjustment knobs was stripped and wouldn't tighten. I emailed them on friday and had a replacement delivered the next day! I'm about 2 1/2 hours away, but I'm assuming they expedited. This was also on Jan 3rd (friday), 2014 and they were supposed to be shutdown until January 6th (Monday). I received on the 4th.

Awesome service!!!!!

Even though I promised to review the good and bad, well there hasn't been much bad except for some scratches on my table mounts.... :thumbsup :thumbsup

FYI: Due to the massive storms in the Midwest PontoonStuff is with out internet service and is partially closed. If you are trying to contact them please be patient and rest assured once phones & internet are back up it will be back to business as usual.
