I've always been intrigued though a bit sceptical about those things. When you say they work, is that when you're out and there's the odd mosquito flying around or when you're thick in the bush and they swarm and almost fly away with you?

If your reviews are good I'll definitely give it a try.

Well I can say this I deer hunt some times in a marsh where they carry u away I went from 20 + bites to 2 at most. On the boat we have been getting nailed by the flys added them went to 2 bites in my area I am happy with the results an consider it money well spent!

Cool. I'll have to get one. I just wanted to make sure we're on the same page regarding what "the bugs are bad" means. I've heard people living in the middle of town claim that the bugs get really bad there. Ha!

We have been using one of the standard models for the past 2-3 years. This is one of those new fangled gadgets that actually works!

I checked out their website and saw some more portable models. The performance specs are the same as the lanterns so I'm going to get one of these instead. Looks like it'd be small enough to stick in a tackle box for little-boat fishing and you can clip it to your belt as well.

We use similar products from OFF. They have worked great at our campsite, so we've got some in the "tub" for the boat - just haven't tried 'em yet.
