Forum update

#1 Post by curtiscapk » Mon Mar 12, 2018 2:14 pm

I emailed Mike to let him know how bad the forum needs updated. I also said I\we would cover cost (he didn't want $ help). He is super busy with new business so he is enlisting some outside help to get the forum back up to date. more to come.

That will be nice, and just the use of [img][/img] tags and emotiocons will make people happier

I can not wait for some nicer weather, working on a boat in the rain and snow, kind of sucks...not for real....it does suck

Nice, you have to keep up with them! I've been made a Super Moderator on the ProwlerTalk forum, and it can be a super busy, non glorifying job! It does take time out of your day. I know what Mike is going through. I feel for ya! While here, gotta ask.... I haven't heard from Carl (Cwag) lately, is everything ok with my ole buddy?

I am a mod on one site (it takes about 1/2 hr in the morning and then again in the evening, and an extra while on the weekend) (we have a great group of folks there, been doing it for 6 years or so. ( in the beginning it was 5 min every hour (at work )fixing stuff as everyone settled into a new owner and site Admin)

And like you I am a super MOD on another site, mainly because I am one of the original shits that started it about 2001, I don't do much there (have met hundreds of great folks through that site)

Everyone wants to be a MOD, until you have to repeatedly do MOD stuff, lol

I’m getting a response similar to “the specified search backend does not exist” when I hit “new post”, “unread posts”, “your posts”. My format looks different also on my iPad, which is what I always use. Not sure what to make of this...
