spent some time yesterday on toon

I took apart remote to trace the 2 wires that came out the bottom and went to a blown fuse, it only took me an hour to put the damn thing back together...lol

Rebuilt fuel pump, diaphragms were in pretty bad shape

also messed with wiring some, what a mess (literally)

I put plastic wire loom over the wires that went through very rough bulk heads (they were not deburred)

Half the wires don't go anywhere????

Also found out why fuel sender wasn't working...no 12v + wire hooked up

also lots of 14 ga to 20 gage connections that need fixing

not much to report, I tore all the wiring out, half of it wasnt connected to anything, nothing worked correctly

I did mount the live well pump, ran wire and hose (still need to secure and wire loom it, wire loom came in last night thanks to Amazon

hopefully Saturday all the wires will be covered and secured

gages are in the house so I can piddle with them at night

Also added air horn I had from another project, just cause

couple pictures...just because

ETA I will probably move the live well fill inside a few inches and move hose after looking at pictures, it looks vulnerable to damage if rear of pontoon swings out

Got this from Amazon to work with the wire loom. Best $4.11 I've spent in a while.

Yeah I haven't finalized what I want yet, I agree with you on that, I really need to buy a AC/DC Tig machine for the house

Do it. And watch a quick Youtube on how to use it. (It's a little bit of a head scratcher without it.) I could get wires into the loom but it would take forever and it was touch on your fingers. This is well worth it.

Long winded update

Well got the panel installed, all nav/mooring lights work now

Now onto the initial issue, she won't idle

I did this:

cleaned tank
checked pick up hose/tube
replaced primer bulb (would only barely idle and missing bad unless bulb was perfectly vertical)
pulled grey hose to check for old deteriorated liner (replaced)
pulled and cleaned factory engine mounted filter
replaced hoses on engine
rebuilt fuel pump

and still had issues, next step pull carbs and check for clogged jets due to ethanol

Guess what yup crystallized and green, that wasn't the biggest issue, very recently someone pulled carbs and replaced the needle and seat (brand new shiney brass and needle was polished and no scrathes)

When they put it back together, they tore the gasket (I found other part under engine) and this caused a massive air leak and explains the carb fuel mixture screws all the way rich

the engine would not run with any file due to massive leak after the throttle butterfly's, engine had 1/2 vacuum pulse for fuel pump also

and they apparently, due to dent on carb, used a hammer to knock loose fuel bowl and it broke off the high speed jet in the process

Looking into chamber before reed valves looks good

SO I ordered parts from BrownsPoint and am waiting

Good find on that gasket. They probably tried to re-use a damaged original & just hoped it would hold together during reassembly. It didn't!
