latest update from today

So factory pontoon parts are not really made for electronics, I bought electronics before a boat  so what to do with the stuff :donno
It sits at a marina and when the electronics double the value of the boat...the tweakers and meth heads come down out of the hollars and feed...their addiction buy; stealing good hard working peoples shit :x

So I did some measuring and sat in boat in the back yard making vroom vroom noises and pushing fake buttons

My plan:

I can build her box :P . I have the technology. I can make her better than she is. Better, stronger, faster.

so I cut some alum out and mocked up what needed to be cut and rounded and bent (no way to weld alum. at home yet...so I made an erector set)

I used 2" long 10-32 SHCS to bolt sides to bottom and to be used as locators (need to swap for SS bolts)

wires tied up and secured with quick disconnect plugs

Here it is looking like an old skool tool box, I used 2 pc of 1/4-20 all thread thru a pc of 2.0 x 1.0 x 1/8 wall x 24 inch long rectangular tubing for the handle/roll bar :drink2

and sitting on console, I drilled 6 holes in the top for the bolts and 1 center hole for cords wires and the Quick disconnects are shoved in the cubby hole in a zip lock bag with an old kooz as camoflauge

hope it gives folks an idea or two

Okay...

The Saturday before; I gave her, my dad and myself an envelope and said come up with some boat names and we will discuss and choose over wine next Friday

So I had fairly stupid names and so did dad :( the wife smiled and pulled this small pc of paper out and apparently on
wednesday, the wife got pissed at work and said "The HELL with it" and left for the day...so she got home and googled the hell with it and came up with

Strikhedonia is a word of unknown origin. It may be an internet creation. It may have its origins in some unknown writer who came up with the perfect word with a perfect meaning. What we do know is that wherever it appears across the internet, it has a generally standard definition: “The pleasure of being able to say ‘to hell with it’.” From the Word Detective comes the following etymology:

On the other hand, by reverse-engineering the word, we can at least confirm that “strikhedonia” matches that definition. The “strik” appears to be an antiquated form of the verb “to strike,” which originally meant “to go, to proceed in a new direction,” a sense we still use when we “strike out” for uncharted territory. The “hedonia” corresponds to the Greek “hedone,” meaning “pleasure” (as in “hedonism,” the pursuit of pleasure), and is also found in the psychiatric term “anhedonia,” the condition of being unable to feel pleasure. Put the two parts together and you do indeed have a word meaning, roughly, “the pleasure of leaving for somewhere new.”

We voted on it a couple minutes later, and with a toast and cheers...we named her
