How’d it go for you?

It worked great on my Bimini.

Good to know, used the boat all last weekend, but didn't leave it out from under the carport because "Gordon" was coming through.

What do you use to get general dirt and grime off your vinyl?
This?

303 vinyl cleaner or marine spray 9, or "awesome" from the dollar tree store is the cheapest route

I think Marine 31 products may be about as good as cleaning products and protectants get. My new Gander Mountain store carries a full line of their products. I was thinking that some of the auto detailing online stores also carry it--like Autogeek.com.

It was my understanding that this product IS NOT A BLEACH. That’s why I bought it.

This from their website:

“Marine 31 Mildew Remover quickly and safely removes stubborn mildew stains on virtually all marine surfaces, including vinyl seat cushions, rubber fenders, fiberglass, gel coat, canopies, and more! Marine 31 Mildew Remover forgoes volatile cleaners and instead relies on smart chemistry; even severe mildew growth is no match for the incredible cleaning power of Marine 31 Mildew Remover.”

And this:

“Not all marine mildew removes are created equal! Most over-the-counter marine mildew cleaners rely on heavy concentrations of bleach and other volatile chemicals that actually cause more harm than good. Marine 31 Mildew Remover removes stubborn mildew stains without discoloring, dulling, or drying out vinyl surfaces. Best of all, it still retains the powerful cleaning ability to remove mildew stains – FAST!”

Oh yeah; I figured y’all would like it. :biggrin2
Only active ingredient is Sodium Hypochlorite 5-7%--same as Clorox laundry bleach.

Marine 31 is one of the "most"--they never say there's no bleach in the product.
RMR-86 is also. Plus some soap.

I don't think anything out there is as effective at removing mildew as cheap old laundry bleach. Other products may work but take longer and often involve plenty of scrubbing to equal the harsh chemical power of bleach.
Sucks that bleach weakens stitching. Hard to believe marine seats aren't stitched with chemical-resistant thread. :donno
