Finally mounted

#1 Post by jpmathers » Sat Apr 13, 2019 3:03 pm

Finally got the mercury 115 mounted, this thing was a hog to get on there compared to the 9.9, Just have to figure out the throttle cables now ,there seems to be a barrel missing or something. Totally different set up then the 9.9.

We mounted our 115, hooking up the throttle cables was EZ, having never done it before we fallowed the installation manual word for word and worked out perfect, if you don’t have the installation manual there’s a couple videos on that subjected on YouTube. it’s a lot easier than you think
Good luck

OK, I just have to ask.....
You are going from a 9.9 to a 115? What size boat? What is it rated for? And how did it come to have just a 9.9 on it in the first place??

Curiosity is killing me on this one.

Do you have the installation manual? If not, I can copy my manual on throttle cables

I do, It's a different set up on the 9.9. I have to run and get the barrels that slip on the throttle and shifter cable. At least that's all I hope I have to get.

Got it all hooked up and running last night. I was planning on taking it to Alum Creek this weekend to see how it does, Typical Ohio weather will probably not let that happen.
