Any North Carolina boaters here? Need to find mechanic!
Any NC boaters here? I have a wet slip at Jordan Lake. I don't have a trailer and my 100 hour service is coming up. I'm new to this marina so was hoping to find a few options for service. Anyone know any mobile mechanics who service the Raleigh area?

Can't help with a mechanic, not in my neighborhood, but welcome aboard.

Just change your oil, oil filter and 1 qt. of lower unit grease. If the motor's running great, that's all that needs to be done. It's a 1/2 hr. job.
I just did it on my motor--$40--including two little $1 paper gaskets for the lower unit screws and a crush washer for the crankcase. It uses a Motorcraft oil filter that fits a Ford Focus 2.0 engine--$5.99. And I'm using 10W30 Mobil 1 EP (Extended Performance) because it's as good as oil gets.
