Stopping in to say "Hi!"

#1 Post by TXlakergirl » Tue Feb 21, 2023 9:26 am

I was a member of this forum years back when I bought my first pontoon, then a long hiatus mainly due to a lost Password. But I'm back now and have already posted about needing advice on adding drain plugs to my toons. I boat on Lake LBJ here in central Texas and I'm on my second pontoon... a 2015 Harris Solstice 220 tri-toon. Prior to her I had a 2004 Godfrey Sweetwater 19' pontoon. Still loving my Harris, especially going from 2 toons to 3, but having water-in-the-toon issues with her that's reducing some of the luster. But not enough for me to quit boating! So here's my pretty girl...

well..
you shouldn't be getting water in your pontoons.
My '06 lowes developed a leak at one of the seams that I had re-welded. Something you need to check.
My toons have a plastic plug mounted on top of each section....if you have those could one be missing?....If I needed to, Id use those, and a vinyl tube with my shop vac to suck out the water..
The problem with adding separate drains is that most toons are partioned off into 3 individual compartments.....
